Possibly moving to San Antonio

I posted this before, but didn't get to check if there were any responses before the board changed back and all posts were deleted.

I am considering moving to San Antonio and am wondering what is the best public school district or middle/high school in the area? 

I have a 2 year old son and an 11 year old daughter, and don't know anyone in SA except my XH.  My XH moved out there last year for a job and my daughter needs her dad.  My son does too, but DD really misses him.  For them, I am considering selling my house, uprooting our lives, moving away from family and firends, just so they can be close to their dad.  The job market is really crappy in Atlanta, otherwise he would move back.  Any advise on where to start would be great.  Thanks so much!

The NEISD school district is one of the best. Alamo Heights is also a good school district. I think you would like it here. A very family friendly city.

The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District is a very good district as well. There are a lot of military families around the Schertz area, so if you buy at a time when there is a big move planned, you might be able to find a great deal. If you're willing to live out of the city a bit, Boerne ISD is also a great district. Good luck!

NISD is the largest and one of the better school districts as well. All my nieces and nephews are going/have gone there. It's located on the northwest/north central side of town.

I'll be coming to town from 7/12 to 7/15 to check out the area.  Thanks for the suggestions!
