First ultrasound today!

My DH and I got to see our little one for the first time today.  We went into the ultrasound with intentions not to find out the gender, and we kept it that way!  I was glad the technician asked early if we wanted to know so that I didn't have time to change my mind.  I was tempted to ask the technician at the end if she was able to tell what it was, but I decided it would be best not to.  I'm really excited that we have decided to keep it a surprise this time around!

Yay for the first ultrasound.  It's so neat being able to see them on that screen.  That's awesome that you were able to keep it a secret!  

Last time around I changed my mind at the last minute.  The office I go to now actually has a short questionnaire that they have you fill out and one of the questions asks if you want to know the sex if the tech can determine it and you can circle "yes" "no" or "undecided" and the tech has the info before you go in.  If you circle no they don't even ask, which removes a lot of the temptation for me.

Awesome!  I can't wait for the 20 week u/s.  Why is this your first ultrasound?  I had one at 8 weeks and at 12 weeks.  Did you not do the NT scan?  Anyway, I hope you got lots of pictures!!

My doctors office is a little old fashioned and one ultrasound is customary. We did get lots of great pics!
