All I have heard has been praise on delaying cord clamping. I was wanting to know if any of you had any resources related to this topic. I am trying to get some infomation together before my prenatal appointment with my midwife.
Both of the doctors in my practice that I've talked to about this have said they're fine with it as long as there are no complications. They did say the only proven benefit was to preemies and that there was a trade-off on lower anemia with higher jaundice. All things that jive with my research. They also noted that unless someone on my birth team stopped them, they probably wouldn't remember to do it, so to make sure someone was on it.
