I've done some preliminary stroller shopping and even though all my girlfriends tell me I should get the double Bob, I just felt that it was a little too much of a beast for me personally (and I'm not a jogger at all). This one seemed a little smaller and more manageable - just wondering if anyone has it and what they like/don't like about it?
THANKS!
Re: Anyone have the Bumbleride Indie Twin?
We have it and love it. I got it for the same reasons - liked the Bob, but it just seemed so huge. The Indie Twin is a good alternative. We use it for light jogging - up to 3ish miles at a time, and not that often. Not that we couldn't use it more, just I am lazy
. It comes with the cupholder, tire pump, and ours came with the rain cover - but I don't think that is standard any longer. It might be a foot muff now...
It is very easy to maneuver, and we have used it all over - rocky, sandy, snow, and it handles great. Ok, it wasn't so great when we had a huge snowstorm and I tried to push it through almost 3 inches of fresh snow over an unshoveled sidewalk (we walked to the play area, and when we left it was still snowing with 3 inches of snow on the ground), but what stroller would work well?
Anyway, we love it - great storage basket, great sunshades, etc. Check out babygizmo.com's video reviews of strollers you are looking at. She does a nice job of pointing out everything!
Yes, it is easy to fold - you need 2 hands though. The seats aren't able to be detached, so you do fold it with them attached. I did use it with the infant seat a few times. It does click on to a carseat adapter, but there is a strap also.
My DD was born in May, and I found that having her in the infant seat was so hot that I ended up just laying her flat on the regular seat. We lived in the city, so the stroller was our main mode of transportation - to the library, playground, pharmacy, coffee shop, even grocery store. If I was going somewhere in the car for a quick errand, I didn't usually use my Indie Twin - I let DS help me push, and put DD in the snap and go stroller.
Good luck choosing!
