Getting crafty...again (PIP)

Before I got pregnant with DD, I learned how to crochet and I made a handful of baby blankets for friends and family.  Then when I was pregnant with DD, I made one more blanket for her.  Now...about 3 years later...I'm back at it!  I decided to try a new pattern for a blanket for DD #2 and while I was picking out yarn, DD#1 picked yarn that she wanted for a blanket for her.

So here they are...the square one is for DD#1 and the other, triangular shaped one, is for DD#2.

Yay! Someone else who crochets! I've been working on a blanket as well for future LO I'm almost done and was planning on PIP when done.

You really should!  I know you'll get 10-20 blankets at your baby shower, but there is something special about giving you child something that you made for him or her.

I crochet too!  My aunt crocheted DS's baby blanket before she passed away almost three years ago.  I decided that I will crochet this baby's blanket in the same style that she used

Cute! I just started crocheting because I've gotten kind of burned out on sewing, and I find it both enjoyable and frustrating (takes me longer to crochet something than it does to sew it! lol). Mostly enjoyable, though. I just finished the cutest little beanie and a couple of headbands for DD, next up are a pair of crocheted sandles!

Very nice!  No, I've never made anything other than blankets and scarfs.
