Two Under 2

another stroller question :) and slight rant!

I absolutely hate the one I have now which is the Graco Duo Glide - its a tandem stroller - it was ok when dd was in a carseat - I have always hated the length of it and it doesn't turn well. But my kids (1 and 2) kicks the one in front or pulls hair and whoever sits in back can't really see what's going on and gets frustrated... long list....

Anyway, I am looking at 2 and would like your opinion and if you have either of these please comment.

1. Baby trend sit and stand ultra - my concern with the sit and stand is it just doesn't seem like whoever is on the jumpseat will be comfortable when they are sitting - ie - long trips at the zoo, my 2 year old likes to sit back and relax and it doesn't look like that is an option on the jumpseat.  I also looked at the Graco version and its smaller which I like but I have the same concern with the jumpseat.. But both of these are about the size of the stroller I have now - mine is hard to maneuver but I realize that all of them are created differently.

2. Combi Twin Sport which on paper seems equivalent to the city mini except the combi is a bit smaller and actually has cupholders.  My ONLY concerns are can it fit through doors and is it a pain to shop with - I see people out and about with side by sides all the time and they all seem to manage fine -

If you have a side by side that isn't this Combi and you LOVE it - tell me what you have and why it's so great.

Why can't someone invent the perfect stroller? All I want is something that isn't massive, easy to maneuver, has cupholders and snack trays with some parent organization and an easy to get to large storage compartment that doesn't break the bank!!!!!!!  IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR PEOPLE?!!!!!!

I have the Combi Twin Sport (in green) and I love it.  It turns easily, and is VERY lightweight.  I also love how flat it folds, and that it folds twice.  I have never had a problem with it fitting through doors... it fits through any standard size doorway.  I even got it through a turnstyle at a local children's farm.

Downsides: There's only one cupholder (but you can buy another since they are detachable), and the basket space is a little smaller than some other strollers I've seen.  However, there are these neat pockets that can hold your keys, wallet, etc.  Also, when you consider that it has 2 baskets,  it really can hold a good amount.. in fact, now that I think of it,  the two baskets together probably equal a very large basket on a single stroller.

    I recommend it highly.

  • After reading about a million strollers and reviews I have decided to go with the Joovy x2.  I hope I don't regret not getting the Combi!  I asked the Multiples Board and many of them have and love the Combi too!!  I hope I am not making a mistake but the storage and that huge canopy sold me!!!!  Looking at the reviews on you tube is fabulous.
