Transracial adoption question

How did/do you handle traveling with a LO who is obviously not your biological child?  Do you have to carry paperwork proving the adoption, especially regarding air travel?  Do you get a lot of weird looks or questions? 

This isn't an issue for us yet, but hopefully it will be soon, so I was wondering how you ladies handle it.  Thanks!

    When traveling internationally, I always carry a copy of the adoption decree and English translation with me, but other than when we were traveling for the adoption itself, it's never been requested.  I like to have it just in case I'm ever asked to prove our relationship (I think that's a requirement if asked, isn't it?).  I even took M's Peruvian passport with us to both Nicaragua and Peru, although it's a stretch we'd ever need that.

    Just out of curiosity where are you adopting from?
    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     I haven't travelled with them out of the country yet but have had absolutley no issues or questions.  It would never even occur to me.
