Pregnant after a Loss

P4 levels: is this okay?

ZOMG you guys...super sorry for totes being a P dubb today...I think this is like my second or third thread I've started!  Please forgive me!

OB's office called, P4 went from 16 to 14.6.  They said that was still okay, even though they'd like it to be 20 or better.  They did not change the rx for the supps.

Have you had fluctuations in your level before?  Should I calm the eff down?

Agree with pp - levels will fluctuate and some women just have lower numbers in general.  With DS I was on prometrium 2xs a day and my levels still never got over 20.  Chin up - your numbers don't look bad at all... even at 14.  :)

  • My levels fluctuate between 10 & 12. When they were 10, we upped the progesterone to 200mg a day, but didn't up it again after that.

    Yep.

With DD, they were around 15 during my first beta draw around 14dpo. I like to think she turned out ok ;)

  • Mine keep going up and down. My OB is happy with anything around 15.

  • Are you taking suppositories? My RE office said that the suppositories don't show up in b/w because they are put directly at the source. I think it's 9-12 weeks the placenta starts taking over the production of progesterone. So as far as b/w goes that should be an invalid number as long as you are taking suppositories. At least this is what my RE office has told me.

I think if you take them orally or through injections that the blood levels are accurate, because it actually enters the blood stream that way.
