Our last name is Lilley. There are a lot of names I like, but then put with our last name makes for too many L's. Or there are names such as Scarlet, but Scarlet Lilley sounds like the Scarlet Letter to me (or maybe I am just crazy) and names like Emma sound funny as Emma Lilley. I'd also like to avoid names that end with the "e" sound.
On my list so far (not sure I have a style) we were told we were team blue so we are really back to the drawing board here:
Olivia (Although Olivia Lilley may be too many L's)
Isabel (Again Isabel Lilley has a lot of L's)
Payton
Addison
Ava
Reese (maybe more of a middle name)
Summer (liked it until I put it with our last name Summer Lilley.....)
and poor DH loves the name Taylor but I said it is too close too our son Ty (Tyler).
Ideas? Suggestions?
Re: Girl Names...no L's
I like Reese!!!
Olivia, Isabel and Ava are beautiful names, but all too popular for my liking. Not a fan of Payton and Addison. Summer is OK, but maybe more as a MN. Tyler and Taylor would be ridiculous. I'd go with Reese Olivia Lilley. Pretty! I happen to like one syllable names and it sounds nice with your LN.
My last name is similar to yours, so I know where you are coming from.
Some of my favorite girl names are Juliet, Miriam, Audrey, and Catherine.
For boys, I like Benjamin, Joshua, and Timothy.
ETA: Whoops! I forgot that you already know that you're having a girl.
I like Ava Lilley, but Ava is really popular right now, so if that's a concern I'd steer clear. I actually do like Addison, and Reese would work with a very feminine mn. A few more suggestions:
Anna Lilley
Bianca Lilley
Charlotte Lilley
Erin Lilley
Meredith Lilley
Paige Lilley
Teagan Lilley
My Ovulation Chart
From your list, I really like Ava and Reese with your last name. Some other suggestions:
Audrey
Brooke
Mia
Vivian
Eva
Hannah
Rebecca
Nora
Victoria
Alexandra
Miranda
Vera
Thanks Salt! It has been a long time, how are you?
I am thinking a longer first name too. Who knew Lilley would be such a hard LN to find a FN for! Yes, we were originally told boy and then surprise he is actually a she so back to the drawing board with names!
SarahL77 how are you? Ready for #2 yet?
Completely agree. Reese is my favorite out of your list!
