But she's also thanking people for disagreeing with her and stating it makes her more convinced she wants to use one of those atrocious spellings. It's really bizarre. I'm mostly thinking MUD at this point...
Because that just makes the name more special and unique! Duh!

At least it's a MN. She wants to honor a family member named Lee. I don't get it when people want to honor a family member but change the name. Especially if they are both male. Why not use the name? I want to honor my grandma who raised me, so if we have a girl, the MN will be Izetta. Yeah, it's strange, but I don't care because it was her name and that makes it special to me. Changing it to Zeta or Izzy or whatever would make it not her name anymore.

One of my friends named her little girl "Lyzetta" after her grandma...I think it's adorable and similar!

True... but my MN is Edna after my great-grandmother, and I have hated it and been made fun of for it my whole life. Even my sisters made fun of me for it (they all got great names), and eventually by the time I was in high school I changed my MN so it would no longer be called for graduations and wouldn't be on my wedding invites someday.
Now I understand that it was meant to be a blessing, but even though it was just my MN, it did plague me when I was younger. Sometimes you love a person... just not their name. So I do understand changing it a little for certain situations (though Lee isn't that bad).
Unfortunately, my great-grandmother's MN was Myrtle... so at least Edna is a little better than that.

It's an atrocious name but there is something so sad and pathetic about women who arent even pregnant hanging out on a baby name board on a pregnancy website starting threads about women who are pregnant. Like, maybe a nice, long look in the mirror and a good "what am I doing with my life?" is in order, you know?

You actually changed your MN in high school? I have a hard time believing you got teased so much for the MN Edna! You must have had some incredibly, abnormally mean classmates. When I was in school, we didn't even know anyone's MN. One of my classmates had the MN "Neptune" and most of us didn't find out until graduation. We had a little chuckle and moved on. Sounds like you have some pretty thin skin...or you grew up around pretty horrible people.
