I think Im nuts - induction scheduled

So I went to my 38 week appt today... and due to medical reasons dr and I discussed an induction.  She gave me the pro's and con's and I decided to schedule it for next Thursday.

 Im was so excited until I realized its the last week with just DD... am Im not so sure I want to give birth (like I really have an option)

I had a really positive induction experience the first time, but Im all of a sudden not ready.

I'm sorry that you are feeling a little anxious about the delivery. I think we all get that to some degree once we realize the end is in sight. I felt the same way, except I felt it about DH. When I realized that I was about to give birth I suddenly felt very sad that it was no longer going to be just the two of us. Feelings like that are super normal. This is a huge time of change in your life. No matter when the baby is born I don't think anyone can ever feel completely prepared. It's something you just have to dive right into.

 Thank you for saying this! Last week (when I was due) I was feeling really bummed about it not just being hubby and me anymore, yet excited of course to meet the little lady! Now that I'm so far overdue though, I'm just excited/anxious to meet her. I'm so ready. 

But yes I think that's SOOOO normal. I'm sure you'll feel a bit more at ease once she's born, and the excitement of a new baby is more than I can even imagine, so I'm sure that'll take over your thoughts!

I understand how you feel about DD.  I'm feeling the same way.  She is super clingy and I'm feeling so guilty for rocking her world.  I can't do anything about it, but it's making me very hesitant about giving birth.
