Charlies Soap ?

Sorry, I am new at this, and don't want to mess up before I even get started :)

I have Charlies Soap and you are only supposed to use 1 tablespoon of it to begin with.  bumGenius recommends using 1/4 of the detergent called for, but that seems like WAY too little detergent.  How much should I use?  I only have 7 diapers and their inserts for right now if that makes any difference.

Re: Charlies Soap ?

  • I use Charlie's soap. I use a full tablespoon......you could need two depending if you acquire stink issues.

You use a full Tbsp for what size load?  This is tripping me up... my detergent came with this load size guide but when they say large size load I'm thinking I will never have enough CD laundry for what constitutes a large load in my washing machine..

  • Lots of detergent manufacturers recommend more detergent than is necessary- hence, the advice to use less than the amount recommended.  Charlie's doesn't do that- they are honest about how much detergent you need.

I always use the full recommended amount, and have my washer fill all the way, even though my diaper loads only fill the washer halfway.  I don't have a HE machine, so I can choose how much water I want.
