The benefit of using city names

I am not a fan of the overall city-as-people names, but I do make exceptions for names that were legitimately people names first. I guess this means I make an exception for myself!

Anyway, our chosen boy name is Santiago, something only this message board and handful of people IRL know. We were Team Green with pg #1 and kept our names secret until the end. However, my sister knew both names and was the only person in the family who did.

We've been talking about TTC # 2 soon. A friend posted a cutesy, romantic photo of DH and I cuddling on FB and my sister wrote, "Looks like you're getting ready for Santiago!"

I am SO glad most people will just read this and think, oh, maybe they're going on a romantic vacation to Santiago, Spain (DH and I are going to Spain next month). I would be MORTIFIED if it were read any other way.

My sister has a lot going on in her life right now and I know her mind is elsewhere, so I'm not upset she "outed" my name or made this comment. I'm just glad it can be explained in a different way to anyone who reads it!

I love Santiago! And also really like the nickname Tiago. Great, classic choice!
