I know the first response is " put him in undies or trainer pants" but his daycare only trains them in a Pull Up while at school. Now what? He full on does not care if he peed his pants while wearing it. Awesome
Have you tried the ones that get cold when wet? I only saw a commercial about them but maybe it would be uncomfortable enough to make him not want to pee?
Even a weekend might be enough. I basically stripped DS down at home one morning and plied him with juice (a treat) to give him plenty of chances to make the connection. Worked for us.
Works well during the summer when you can be outside.

I agree with the bootcamp. It took both of my oldest kids a full 3 days but then they had it. If you could take a Monday or Friday off it would help.
Also, have him wear undies inside the pullups at daycare if he absolutley has to wear pullups. Then he gets the sensation of being yucky and wet without the mess on the floor for the daycare.
But really I have found the bootcamp works best.
Rebecca- mom to 3 kids: DS born 2005, DD born 2007 and DS born 2010.
If you think he is really ready to "get" what is happening and is continuing to pee in his pull-ups becuase he doesn't care if he is slightly uncomfortable, then I second the boot camp.
he might not be ready. Wait a month and try again. Pull Ups were not effective for us.
Will they change his underwear and pants if he constantly pees in those? When my DS was learning, he had 3 changes of clothes a day he would go through. Daycare was awesome about it.
See if you can have a sit down with the director about it.
Pull ups didn't work for my son, I found that I was changing them as much as diapers. I just kept explaining the process to my son and offering the underwear and explaining that he couldn't pee in them. I knew that he understood the concept and for some reason wasn't ready for the underwear, I waited and one day just put the underwear on when he asked and he has been ok with minimal accidents since then (that was 9 months ago). I really didn't want to do the bootcamp because I felt that it was forcing it.
He is not ready to be potty trained. Let him wear his pull-up and don't worry about it. When he is ready, he will train. Peer pressure does wonders - both my kids started potty training more at daycare than at home since all the other kids were doing it.
Re: Sooo what do I do when DS doesnt mind going potty in a Pull Up?

I took off a day and did a 3 day weekend with DS (22 mo) in underwear, he was potty trained. Worked with DD (18 mo) as well.
DS was non-verbal at the time, but we managed.
