Late Term and Child Loss

Just dropping in

I just wanted to let y'all know I'm still here. I went to the hospital on Wednesday to be induced, spent all Wednesday and most of Thursday in labor.  Aaron Alexander was born sleeping May 31 at 2:03pm 4lbs and 1oz 18.5inches long.  He is the most precious little angel I have ever seen and the Dr's let us keep him as long as we wanted which was pretty much the rest of the day Thursday.  I came home Friday but have been running around like crazy getting ready for the funeral (Because my FI and I aren't married the state of GA makes us go through all kinds of paperwork).  Really I just try not to sit still or in the same place for a long time.  Funeral is today at 2 followed by cremation and Aaron should be home with us tomorrow or Tuesday.  I think the fact that he still gets to come home helps me and my FI a lot because we'll still have him.

  • Sending you (((HUGS))).  I'm sure Aaron's funeral was beautiful.  I can relate to bringing him home.  I felt that way when we brought Eliott home - it helped some to know that he was still "with" us.

  • I'm sorry for your loss. I was glad we brought Genevieve home too. Even though it is just her body, she sits with us in the living room everynight in her little urn. Do what feels right for you, whether that is staying busy or taking a moment of time to yourself to face some of your grief. You are in my thoughts.

  • I'm glad everything went well and that you get to bring Aaron home. I hope you are finding support and comfort with your friends and family now. Give yourself plenty of time to grieve, sometimes once all the commotion has stopped and it really sets in is the hardest time. There will be good days and bad days but you will make it through!

And of course, we are always here for you!  Big Smile

  • Thank you ladies. We love our little angel and we know he's always with us.  And at the moment we're pretty sure he's messing with Daddy because after I had him Thursday my FI's phone went missing from his nightstand (while we were at the hospital), and now his keys are missing. We're half expecting his wallet next and it all to just show up again in a little pile somewhere.
