Displaying LO's Artwork

It's come time to organize DS1's artwork from this past year of preschool. While most of it will inevitably wind up in a bin in the garage, I'd like to display some of the better pieces on a wall in the basement. I'm thinking of cute art clips like this: www.etsy.com/listing/67477432/bird-art-display-clips-your-color-choice. Has anybody done something like this? If so, where did you buy the clips and how did it turn out?

  • That is SO cute.  I love owls, too.  You could just use clothespins to attach them to the rope.  Very cute :)

I'm making a Shutterfly book of dd's artwork.  She does a lot of HUGE paintings and I'm not able to keep them all.  I'm going to take pics of them and then make a book for her. :)  I also hang her artwork in frames and we have one of her canvas paintings hanging in our hallway.

I'm an art teacher and would LOVE to keep everything but I know it's just not possible.

  • We got a large magnetic board from IKEA, and they have great strong clips there too. We put "Charlotte's Masterpieces" at the top and hung it low so she could get to it. She decides what goes up on display.

  • Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! I should've mentioned that this was DS's 2nd year in pre-school, so I already made a Blurb book (similar to Shutterfly, but I think higher end) with some of his artwork from last year. It actually tells the story of his 3rd year of life through his pictures. I've also framed a few of my faves -- shadowboxes are awesome for 3D stuff. We're going to be out of wall space in no time at all :)
