With Monday being beta day and a handful of people at work knowing about our IVF, but known of our family knowing I have had to consider how I am going to handle the inquiring minds. However, I figured out tonight that when I get to work in the morning I will tell those who know that we will not be telling anyone the results of whether we are or are not pregnant until later on because we feel that the news should first be shared with our family if we are. DH thinks they will figure we are if we don't say anything, but I feel by telling those who will ask first thing in the morning before the results come in in the afternoon there shouldn't be any question because they know we haven't tested early either. The way I see it is if they want to speculate let them. What do you ladies think?
Re: Telling People
Have you told them you will get same day results? I would just say I'm waiting to hear back from the dr & that they didn't say when they were going to call.
ETA: I don't plan on telling anyone when beta day is. My clinic's lab opens at 7:30 so I'm going to go in early and then if I'm late I'll call my boss and tell her I overslept.

If you're wondering about my avatar...it's a fried pickle chip shaped like a fetus!
Unfortunately, I did. At the time I was extremely excited to have made it as far as we have compared to the first cycle and they were all there for me when we failed to make it to ET. And they have been there for me through this entire cycle. I am pretty sure they will understand and respect my wishes. I guess I should have thought this through a little more earlier on. Oh well, it is what it is, right?n
When I make it to ET, I will have the same problem as many of my close co-workers will know. I'm also a horrible liar and have a hard time hiding my emotions! I was planning on taking beta day off to take time to deal with whatever emotions I will be going through and telling family, and then just being honest with my co-workers when I return. (I can't imagine going into work after a BFP and not smiling ridiculously all day!)
If you can pull it off, I think your idea of telling co-workers that you're waiting to tell family first is probably your best bet! GL!
