I think I dropped!

My stomach looks lower today and I feel way more pressure "downstairs". My OB had already said on the last appt that she doesn't think I will make it to 40 wks (I am 2cm dilated, 50% effaced and the cervical consistency is changing).

So now I have dropped. I am beginning to freak out and I am in major nesting mode today.

Anyone else dropped at 37 wks?

At 36 weeks 5 days I was 70%, 2 cm and baby dropped. Now I am 40 weeks 3 days with no baby (5 cm and completely thinned out). So you never know!

Yep...  LO dropped last week at 37 weeks.  I only noticed it because I suddenly realized I could breathe easier.  Then, when I started pushing on my belling, I could feel that she was lower.

I don't get internals, so I have no info on dilation or effacement, but even my MW commented on how low she had dropped.  She even decided to grab her portable u/s machine to verify position because, she has dropped so low into my pelvis, she was having a hard time determining which end was up. 

Unfortunately, none of it really means anything, as far as to when you'll go into labor.  It just means your body is preparing and that's a good thing.

I just dropped today. I feel a lot of pressure in my lower regions as well... at my last appointment, the doctor said that I still had a ways to go (not yet dilated) so I may still have some time. At least that's what I'm hoping. I want to finish my last 3 weeks of school with my students.

 

I had 3 wks of classes left too, but I decided I am stopping next week.
