Do you you the powder(with enflora) or liquid concentrate (without enflora)...why and did you notice any difference in your baby? did ypur doctor recommend one or the other? My doctor didnt even know the difference (i looked it up).
Is you baby colicky? Have reflux?
My DD has been on it for over 2 weeks, she is better on this than similac advanced but not where I thought she would be on this.. She is colicky and also just diagnosed with silent reflux. We are starting Zantac today.
She is the gassiest baby, always pushing and crying over gas bubbles. I read some reviews that say the enflora helps because it's a probiotic, where others said it caused their baby to be gassy. I know each baby is different. I'm just scared to try the liquid because I can't handle her getting more gassy.
Just looking for your experience with nutramigen. Thanks!!

Re: Question for nutramigen users...
We use the powder, but have the 2oz ready mades in the cupboard from the hospital. I gave her some ready made the other day, and I'm pretty sure it made her a bit constipated, so I won't be giving her that anymore.
She isn't colicky, but has reflux - she's been on Zantac for about 5 weeks now. The Zantac did make a difference in regards to her fussiness during feedings and burping.
Just this week she has become increasingly fussy during her feedings again, has started to spit up a little, and has the hiccups 3-4 times a day. I'm thinking that the pedi needs to up the dosage on her meds, or that the Zantac stopped working. She said we will discuss it at her appointment on Monday.
DD has HORRIBLE gas, too. I tried Nutramigen for a couple feedings and she screamed (I think because it is pretty thin and it aggravated her reflux). Anyway I just wanted to say that I've had some good progress on Gerber Good Start "Soothe" (which is new). It has probiotics in it as well. My pedi said it was supposed to be inbetween gentle formula and hypoallergenic formula. Who knows. She still gets pains so I'm going to try Nutramigen again maybe in a week or so (she's only been on GS for a week).
I just got the "The Windi" in (Amazon) and as weird as it is, it has helped her a couple times! The gas came flying out. It's odd, though...
I can't really help with the topic yet, as I have only given her 9 oz total. but her pedi said usually babies don't care for the taste of it unless they are dairy/soy intolerant, and she gulped it down 2/4 times i've given it to her.
she has been on reflex meds for 4.5 weeks, increased the dose twice already, been on gas drops 3 times a day for 6.5 weeks, and dairy-free for a week (2 weeks for obvious dairy). she used to strain and grunt for hours before a poop, now it's down to 15-45 minutes. yes, it sucks. she also has colic.
good luck to you with the zantac. I really hope all of you get some relief soon.
