Childproofing - round 2

Now that DD is getting older(almost 2.5), we're going through another round of childproofing.  We just covered all the door knobs because now she can open them.  I also noticed that she somehow managed to figure out how to open drawers in her bedroom.  We already had childproof latches on them, but she can get around them.  So, now we're thinking about moving the 2 end tables out of her room.  We also took all the handles off her tall dresser drawers except for the top one, but now she's tall enough to reach that too.  So, I guess we need to get rid of the dresser.  I could move everything that's in the drawers into her closet - she has a walk in closet with a regular door with a covered knob - so she can't get in there when the door is closed.  I just feel like I'm eventually going to have to empty her room of furniture except for her bed.

I agree with PPs. Your LO is old enough not to understand that no means no, especially when it is a safety issue. I find that if I just tell DD that she could get hurt she tends to stop and leave things alone.
