So my doctor said he didn't think I had a YI but said that the "area" definitely looked inflamed and that I could use hydrocortisone cream there to help if needed (since the discomfort is all on the outside). He said it didn't look like a YI or any other type I infection but he did take a culture just to make sure. (Then what the heck is it?!)
I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with this before. It's like a discomfort/ slight burning feel (sometimes itchy) but just on the outer skin that's swollen. I'm definitely swollen there too and have read that that's totally normal...but with the other symptoms I've described too? I don't have any change in discharge or anything...I just wish these annoying symptoms would go away on their own!
