Pronounced ee-vuh. DH just suggested this to me yesterday, and while I wasn't sure at first, I think I really do like it. I definitely like it a lot more than the popular Ava (popular in my area anyway). We'd likely pair it with Josephine to honor my grandmother.
Re: WDYT of Eva?
Cute, but is going to get lumped in with all of the Avas. It's really not that different.
Love it with Josephine.

It will be my first daughter's name, it was my great-grandmother's name. That is already set in stone! Eva Marie is what my first daughter will be named... so needless to say, I LOVE it!
I really like Eva Josephine!
I was actually just wondering about potential pronunciation problems, so thank you for letting me know about your friend's experience!
Agreed.
