I was at a festival in Boulder last weekend, and it's a new school and had a booth. I picked up some information and talked to some of the admins they had working the booth. They're just getting started, but are specializing in education for high-functioning kids on the spectrum.

I think it's fascinating, and I'll be keeping an eye on it. They start at 6th grade, so even that is a long way off for us and they'll have more of a track record by the time it would even be an option. I wonder how successful they'll be in getting typical kids to go (their class size is capped at 8 kids) or whether there will be too few typical peer models.
Grandin is "affiliated" with the school and letting them use her name, and visits occasionally; but doesn't have influence on curriculum, as I understand it. She's a local for us, so it makes sense that they'd particularly want to use her name.
