Vent: HCG Levels

This is now annoying. Although, the nurse said my last result is 'essentially zero' so they don't need to test again. Really? I thought it had to be under 5.

I am so sorry!! I know how annoying hCG levels can be.  I also thought it had to be 5 but I'm sure if they were to do it again it would be 5 or lower.  I wish I had some magical wand that would make the numbers drop super fast.  I am glad you are considered at 0.  GL

I am scheduled to get a phone call from my doctor this afternoon around four!  Hopefully she has something more to say then just to wait it out.  It really takes a toll on a person.  I want answers!  But she is an amazing doctor so I know she is doing the best she can.

Oh, you're so close to zero!! I'm glad the nurse is saying it's close enough that you don't need to be drawn again,although actually seeing the number zero is always nice. Getting poked is just the pits (I should know; I do the poking for a living!).

That's super annoying. With my first loss, 7 was my final result, too. AF came the day after that draw.

Interesting. I haven't seen any sign of her yet but we'll see! It's been 20 days since my delivery and 30 days since my actual loss so it could be anytime I guess. My cycle was 28-30 days before (who knows now though).

Having no idea when she's going to arrive really, really sucks. I hope she's here right on schedule!

Yeah, with mine AF came 7 days after my hcg was 16 and 4 days after my first negative Wondfo (which is supposed to be sensitive to 10 miU). I also had no warning, woke up with cramps thinking "man, these feel like AF cramps. This sucks." And then it actually was AF (!). So congrats on the low numbers, and hopefully your cycle gets back on track soon!

I understand how frustrated you are! My Dr refuses to test anymore since my draw 1.5 weeks ago was 33!!!!

I dont think they completely understand from the emotional side how important it is to see/hear you are at 0. To me 0 means its all over, but he doesnt understand...I have an amazing Dr, so I keep reminding myself that he is doing whats best for me and I shouldnt question him...although I still do

Thank you! I hope it shows soon. I want to get back into some state of 'normal'. I haven't had a period since December!!! (Got my BFP in late Jan).

With my first loss my levels dropped super slow at the end.  My old OBGYN let me stop coming for b/w when my hCG had gone down to 8 and said essentially the same thing your doctor did.  ::HUGS::

Ugh! That's so aggravating--but at least you're almost there! My OB/GYN made me test until I was under 5 (my last draw just barely made it at 4.6). Hang in there, sweets!

I thought they needed to be <5 also, but my dr was done following me when my levels were 16.  She said since theyd declined so steadily and all my u/s looked good we didnt need to follow anymore. 
I ended up having them drawn again though when I had that excessive heavy bleeding and clotting again to make sure it wasn't retained tissue..they were 4.8 then.

They stopped testing me at 25. But then again, I started off at 410,000.
