I was driving past the local taco bell yesterday and had the urge for a fountain soda. When I came home I saw DH's car in the driveway so I went and threw out the cup before I went in the house. I know soda is not great for me but one here and there will not hurt. Anyone else felt the need to keep their "treats" to themselves or have any funny stories about it.
My BF (who is also preggo) stops at KFC everyday after work and gets a small mashed potatoes, eats it in the parking lot, throws out the evidence and then goes home to make dinner and her husband has no idea about her ritual.
Re: Hiding the evidence
I guess I never realized that some women would do this ... I'd much prefer to just be honest with him. If it's something I'm not comfortable with him knowing about, then I feel that I shouldn't be doing it. If he has something to say about anything that I am eating or drinking, then I will discuss his concerns with him. That's probably just me, though.
Glad you and your BF have something funny to share!

All the time! lol Whenever I stop at any fast food place I always throw away the evidence in the outside garbage. I did this even before I was pregnant...I don't know why, but for some reason I just feel guilty about eating that stuff. lol
What she said.
I feel a little ashamed about the amount of food I'm eating. At work I just throw the containers and wrappers in my trash can but I've thought about putting them elsewhere so the maintenance staff doesn't know I'm such a pig.
At home, I could care less. H knows I'm hormonal and hungry and doesn't give me a hard time for eating a lot or for eating sugar.

I would have to lean in this direction, as well. I'm not proud of it!!! Sometimes I'd just rather not get the stink eye for wasting money on fast food. I would never lie if he actually asked, "So have you eaten any fast food this week?" We joke around about it because he knows I do this...especially with 59 cent sodas at Super America! The other day he said, "We need to keep your cash supply low and monitored!"
THIS!!! DH gets on my case just for the slightest bit of artificial sugar or caffeine I consume. I had two pieces of gum today and I savored every last ounce of flavor. I also drank half of my sister's coke zero. I just think it is unfair that he can eat and drink whatever he pleases and then gets on my case.
