Last night around 8PM I noticed that I was having contractions, so I sat down to time them and they started coming at first every 7 minutes and then quickly progressed to every four minutes on the dot. This went on for THREE hours, non stop. I called my mom and noticed that I was having a hard time talking through some of them because it felt like I had to use the same muscles to talk that were contracting, and the feeling was very uncomfortable with a lot of pressure that made me feel I was going to pee myself. I couldn't move though them because of this intense pressure. It was actually making me sweat. Right after each contraction I would get a sharp menstrual cramp or a sharp pain in my lady parts/cervix, and then it would fade away. Each contraction lasted about 25-30 seconds.
Then at 11 I decided to take a hot bath. I had a few more contractions in the bathtub, but I wasn't timing them. I was trying to go about my business to see if they would go away if I wasn't just sitting around feeling them, you know what I mean? The worse contraction same while I was toweling off and trying to get into my pajamas. At midnight I started timing and they were 4-5 minutes apart, and then I didn't have one for 7 minutes, than 10 minutes.... so I went to sleep.
I woke up at 3 with strong contractions and I was drenched with sweat and felt queasy. I got up and went to the bathroom, had a glass of ice water, and by 4 I was able to fall back asleep. I timed them during this hour or so and they were coming between 3-5 minutes apart. And then they sort of fizzled out again so I was able to sleep.
This morning my stomach feels sore like I've been punched, and I have a pretty constant menstrual cramping very low in my groin area. I've had several strong BH contractions that are also pretty constant unless I am sitting down- as soon as I stand or move my stomach tightens right up. I know that I am dialating and that my cervix is very soft and that baby is engaged (per my last OB visit, which was last Friday).
What do you ladies think?
Re: I thought I was going last night... (also on 3rd trimester)
i had the same thing as you. Low cramping, nausea, and soreness that is lingering. Although maybe not Quite as intense as what your describing. I took a bath and then curled up in bed and was rather uncomfortable all night.
I had a doctors appt today and told them this. They said baby might be thinking about it. But it could be a trend of cramps and nausea for days or even weeks and baby is in control now. O.o
I had the exact same problem 2 nights ago. we even went to the hospital. my doctor says I have an irritable uterus. ugh, this could be a fun labor...
I hope things progress for you nicely, though!
