Beta #2 - confused a bit

Got my results today.  Beta went from 151 to 282.  I've heard so much about it needing to "double" that I'm a bit concerned.  My RE's office said that they like to see between 1.5x and 2x so I'm fine and they had me schedule an ultrasound, but I'm a natural worry-wort anyway so here I am worrying away. 

We were going to tell my parents tonight, but I'm scared to.  They do not even know we did IVF this time.  DH thinks they have been in the dark long enough and should at least know we got a positive test.

I'm nervous so I posted over on PAIF about the beta but you ladies are the best support a girl could ask for and who I've come to know best - any comments you have are welcome....

~ Me, 30 DH, 32 ~ TTC since Oct 2009 septum resection 3/2010 stage IV endo 8/2011 IVF #1 1/25/12, 2 transferred, 2 frozen - BFN FET 2/22/12, 2 transferred - BFN IVF#2 5/12, transferred 3, froze 5, BFP! Beta 1: 151, Beta 2: 282 Cerclage placed @ 17 weeks due to shortening cervix, modified bed rest until delivery SAIF/PAIF always welcome image It's a girl! ~ Clare was born 1/31/13

    Looks good! You're just shy of doubling and not everyone doubles every 48hrs. Try betbase.info for info on betas. Good luck!

    I dont have too much advice. I dont want to read too much into betas. On one hand I hear it is important and the other it isnt. So I am wishing you the best and pray this is it for you! GL

    I don't see what you are confused about?  From my point of view, your beta doubled and you are def KTFU.  If I were you, I would be celebrating...big time!

    13R. We have 3 CCS Normal Embryos!


    Lupron Depot: May 2013 to August 2013
    Long awaited FET on 9/3. 2TFR'ed.
    BFP on FRER 5dp5dt: IN SHOCK!
    Beta1 9/10: 152.7! Beta2 9/12: 378! Beta3 9/14: 1224! 

    1st ultrasound 10/1: TWO beautiful heartbeats!  Overjoyed!

    You want it to double in 48-72 hrs, and you almost doubled in 48 hrs. That's a great beta! Congrats!

    It almost doubled so I think that's still a great beta.  I understand your apprehension though.  Hang in there!

    I am sure it's hard to pull the trigger and tell since they're in the dark. Celebrate the fact that today, right now, you're pregnant, and your numbers are headed in the right direction. :) I'd say that is pretty darn close to a double, and if your RE is happy, you can be too!

    Married 8/7/10 I have two wonderful children 9 & 10 from previous TTC since 8/10 DX: Unexplained DH: Super Sperm 9/11 Labs Normal 9/11HSG Normal 10/11 Starting 1st round of Clomid 50mg 10/11 1st round of Clomid BFN Stated with New RE 10/11 10-11/11 All test redone except for HSG all normal DH still superman...lol 12/11 Lap surgery for poss Endo...Endo stage 2 1/12 rest month 2/12 US for 1st round of meds w/ IUI showed cyst...cancelled cycle 3/12 US for 1st round of meds w/IUI showed go! 3/19/12 1st IUI...now in the 2ww...ugh 4/2/12 AF...1st failed IUI... 5/3/12 Started Meds for IUI #2...Cancelled 5/12 due to low E2 levels... 5/20/12 Ovulated and BD...2ww... 5/31/12 BFP Beta #1 14.9... 6/2/12 Beta #2 40...
