2nd Trimester

what usually happens...

at your 16 week appointment? I'm anxious, but have 2 more weeks to go!

Re: what usually happens...

  • Mine will be vitals, pee in a cup, and heartbeat.   At 20 we do all that plus the A/S.

  • Ok, thanks! That's  kind of what I figured. We aren't finding out the sex, but I'm still anxious to see baby again on the screen!

I went yesterday. It was basically standard stuff, pee in a cup, get baby's HB, weight and a blood draw.

I also scheduled the a/s, Dr.'s interested in having it done in 2 weeks. I am so super excited!

    Here is how mine went.

Weight, blood pressure, pee in a cup, listen to heartbeat.

OB asks if I want to do the extra blood tests. I said no. I asked about VBAC he said no and the appt was over.

No ultrasound and scheduled the A/S appt

  • After 8 weeks my appts have been pee in a cup, vitals, heartbeat and maybe some blood work.  My dr did u/s at 6 weeks and 8 weeks to ease our minds b/c LO was a total miracle.  I had the 12 week and 20 week u/s at the hospital.  Then the next "big" appt would be the glucose test.  I don't remember 16 weeks being anything out of the ordinary.  A majority of your appts will be rather quick.
