Cervix thinning, but still high

anyone have any ideas on how to get baby to move down?? Due date is THIS Saturday and Dr. wants to induce next week.. I am desperate to go into labor on my own first.

    You sound like me. I am due Sunday, am only a 1/2 cm dialated but my cervix has thinned a little since last week. What the hell?!?!? My dr says sex but DH won't come near me.

    Haha! We've tried sex too. It hasn't really helped much. I don't get contractions after or anything like that.

    If you don't want the induction, don't do it.  They can't force it on you unless the baby is in distress.

    Squats and walking might help.  I'm desperate to get this kid to drop so I can BREATHE again so I got a birthing ball I've been bouncing up and down on  . . . So far, still no dropping.  Sigh!
