Status Update: What is going on in your cycle or where are you in your process?
I have an estrogen patch on and am waiting for AF to show up to do IVF#4.
QOTW: Does your doctor dictate your protocol and you go along with it, or do you bring ideas to him/her and you work on protocols together? I don't have a ton of access to my RE as I am cycling out of town. But I have had phone calls with him and he will listen to requests if I have them.

**Ceemoney, congrats on your embryo match. We are considering this option. Do you mind PM me with some info?
Status Update: What is going on in your cycle or where are you in your process? We are still waiting for DH to recover from the Clomid treatments. My RE is still working closely with me during our wait and making sure all our testing is out of the way so there won't be any questions when we are ready. We also began discussing IVF and the possibility of donor embryos. My AFC went up to 7 this cycle and I'm so excited and happy about that! DH is still having a hard time but I'm trying to keep him hopeful.
QOTW: Does your doctor dictate your protocol and you go along with it, or do you bring ideas to him/her and you work on protocols together? We definately coordinate protocols together. She is amazing at explaining the ups and downs of everything and open to our thoughts/opinions.

Status Update: Waiting to begin our very first assisted cycle when I get AF next -- mid-June. IUI with injects.
QOTW: N/A for us so far, but it's something I've wondered about. I'll be interested in others' responses to this. I've always had a very short LP, so I intend to ask RE if whatever protocol I do needs to take this into account. I have this idea I might O on my own, early, before I'm able to trigger. Although, I guess that's one of the reasons I'll be monitored.
Began TTC #1 in Sept. 2010. I was 33, DH was 36.. Dx with DOR and slight MFI (8/4/11).
Test results (after first RE visit 6/21/11): 7DPO b/w: Progesterone = 11.3; CD3 b/w: FSH = 10.1 mUnits/mL, E2= 52.0 pg/mL, AFC: 6; SIS Ultrasound: Uterus great, tubes clear! AMH: 0.3

We welcomed the most beautiful baby girl into the world on September 11, 2014!
It would be great if I could be added to this. I am Stephanie and I found out Friday that my FSH was very high for someone my age, but they have not officially diagnosed me yet. My first appointment with the RE was today and he is starting me next month with clomid and an IUI and I think injections since he wrote me a prescription for HCG injections? This is all very new to me and confusing. I did get pregnant naturally in January, but unfortunately miscarried. I hope to get to know everyone.

Ceemonkey--congrats on your donor match!
Update--I got my BFP last Monday! Everything is going well; both beta's I've had so far have been very good, and there's been no spotting or anything. I have my third beta drawn tomorrow morning.
QOTW: My FET protocol was very specifically laid out by RBA; they keep things pretty standardized. But considering the results, I can't complain too much.

GL to everyone cycling.
Update: I go in tomorrow for b/w & u/s, it is CD6. I already have a high E2 # so I either still have that same functional cyst or I am just going to ovulate early again.
QOTW: I've never really had a set protocol. My RE does things based on b/w & u/s results. They may tell me to have something on hand or be prepared to do such and such, but they don't tell me in advance that I'll be doing anything specific. I am irritated with them right now though. I have, for about the last 5 months, been ovulating early and will have a large follicle on my right side every CD3 or thereabouts. Then they're always like, well, this cycle doesn't look good, and they'll just tell me to come back in next cycle. This has been going on too long! I want them to give me something in the luteal phase to keep me from ovulating early or something. I feel like I'm just wasting time here.

Status Update: What is going on in your cycle or where are you in your process?
No updates since last time. We have an appointment with the RE on 6/4 and I hope to get a better idea of our schedule, protocol and overall plan.
QOTW: Does your doctor dictate your protocol and you go along with it, or do you bring ideas to him/her and you work on protocols together?
My RE originally suggested I do Long Lupron protocol, but now that I have had two other RE opinions I feel like I need her to 'sell' me on why she thinks Lupron would be the best for me and our DOR situation (<0.16 AMH, 7 FSH, 11-14 AFC). I'm open to whatever procol she recommends as long as she a compelling reason for why she is choosing it for me specifically. Whatever protocol we come up with for our IVF cycle can't be one that we use as a 'learning experience' because we are only doing IVF one time and then moving right to donor embryos. The other REs recommended antagonist so we will see what she ultimately says after our appointment on 6/4! I am ready to just get this cycle going already!
By the way, if any of you ladies have any suggestions on protocols for someone who is just trying IVF one time only, I'd love to hear them.

This is what keeps happening to me. Are you still seeing C.heck? I talked to him about it in March and he put in my dictated letter that I could do estinyl at 6DPO to prevent the early recruitment. I know you can't take estinyl if there is a chance you'd be pg(LOL) and since I could not really find a positive O since I was on vacation, I put a estrogen patch on last week instead and will take estinyl on CD1 or the first sign of AF cramping. I actually took estinyl last month from Cd1 to CD3 to try to slow down my O date (I was not cycling) and it much have worked since today is CD27 and I haven't hit that long of a cycle forever. Of course I just want to get this show on the road and AF won't cooperate-- go figure!

Yes, I'm still seeing him and I'm getting short on patience with them. They called me yesterday and they were like, your E2 is already high, so go back in on Thursday so we can see what's going on. I said, I'll tell you! The same damn thing that's been going on since December of last year. WHY THE HELL AREN'T YOU DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT?!? I had a callback with C.heck and told him all of this and he said something about starting lupron in the luteal phase but the nurse instead put me on BCPs which didn't work. She said "next time we'll have to try something stronger." I've told them repeatedly that I no longer have any insurance coverage and can't keep messing around like this. I don't think they look at the file sometimes. It's incredibly frustrating - I don't know what to do.

Congrats Sekura!!!!
Status Update: What is going on in your cycle or where are you in your process?
I triggered on Thursday and had an IUI on Saturday. Officially in my 2ww.
QOTW: Does your doctor dictate your protocol and you go along with it, or do you bring ideas to him/her and you work on protocols together? I don't have a ton of access to my RE either. I met with him for initial consult, diagnosis consult and when her did my hsg. Other than that i do most of my talking with his nurses. He gave me three different options for treatment and told me that I could whatever I was most comfortable with, clomid, injectables and IVF. If clomid doesn't work for one more cycle then we will have a wtf meeting to discuss IVF.
DH: 31, no issues
4-6/2012 100mg of Clomid + trigger + IUI/TI = BFN
7/2012 150mg of Gonal-f + trigger + IUI = BFN
8/2012 Surprise unmedicated BFP!! Due May 8, 2013
I am currently on BCP and Lupron. Baseline is on Tues. We have made all ofour travel plans for our DE cycle. I can't believe how close it is!
QOTW: When I was trying with my OE, my input and suggestions were listened to. For my DE cycle, I did not have any input.
Update: Started stims yesterday, same dosing as last time. Estimated ER is 6/8, if all goes well. Although with my luck.......
QOTW: We went with what our RE suggested. He was considering EPP for this cycle, and after we chatted and I asked a bunch of questions, he decided LDR would be more appropriate. Maybe I got him thinking about it differently? But that wasn't my intent- this guy obviously knows more about it than I do and I would have gone with whatever he recommended.
Dx DOR (AMH .49), Stage 3/4 Endo, Septate Uterus
After 2 years, numerous tests, abdonimal surgery, and 2 IVF cycles, we are so grateful to be expecting.
Transferred 2 "perfect" 8-cell embies 6/12. Beta 1 6/25: 472! Beta 2 6/27: 1055!
First u/s shows TRIPLETS! WHAT?!?! Both embies stuck and one split. OMG
Levi, Henry, and Amelia were born healthy at 34w3d.
QOTW: Does your doctor dictate your protocol and you go along with it, or do you bring ideas to him/her and you work on protocols together? My doctor has full control, and even though he diagnosed me as DOR we have done antagonist protocol every time. He didn't want to mix it up.
Hi ladies. I have been on a long hiatus. In a nutshell I had a cancelled IVF cycle in November due to poor repsonse. This was after multipe failed IUIs. I was on the antagonist protocol for the cancelled IVF and on max dosage of Follistim and Menopur. I produced 2 follicles. I tried one last IUI and my RE basically said you are done. I won't approve another IVF. DE is your only hope. I switched doctors and met with my new RE March 7th. I had all the tests done again along with a saline ultrasound that my previous doctor had not suggested. ( cane back fine) My husband was sent to a urologist for testing and his tests came back fine for the most part. He never had a large count but enough for IVF. All my levels basically are worse than they were in Feb 2011. AMH went from .455 to .21. FSH went from 7.2 to 10.9. Estrogen was up from 66.1 to 80. I was just waiting for the DE talk when he said he would allow me to try IVF one last time with my own eggs. I was shocked. He did say I have a 5% chance. After 15 months of IF I am willing to do this one last time if he is willing. Miracles happen and I am in desperate need of a miracle.
I am on an estrogen priming protocol with microdose flare. Anyone else do this? I start estrogen patches and Ganirelix this week. Hopefully start Lupron/Follistim/Menopur week sometime around June 15th.
It's good to be back. I needed some time away from everything IF for a few months. It's been a long road and I know you all can relate.
Good luck to everyone!
