kindle fire vs ipad

I am not apple loyal and DH and I will celebrate our 7th anniversary on Monday. We both need a tablet. I was going to get ipads but hear really great things about the kindle. If you have one or the other, give me your opinions please.

    Oh my goodness, 5 months old!! How can that be? I don't have any suggestions for your question though. Hope you all are doing well. 
    TTC #1 since 11/10 | Diagnosed with PCOS 11/28/11 | Lap 1/20/12: stage 2 endo & cyst removal

    I love my iPad! It's super easy to use and it has some great apps for my toddler son! I chose it over the kindle fire because of the size. I liked the bigger size since I mostly use it for Internet and email!

    Dx: ASD, SPD and receptive and expressive speech delay at 21 months

    BFP #4: Miscarriage at 5 weeks 7/2014
    BFP #5: 8/8/2014 Due 4/20/2015 
    Its a healthy girl!!!!!

    I do know that the ipad does not work with websites that use flash. For example, if you wanted to play a game on disney.com, all their games use flash so they will not be able to be played on the ipad. The ipad comes with a camera and the kindle does not. HTH

    I have an unhealthy love for my kindle fire. But I have also used my brothers ipad and I like it too. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong.



    Me: 32 DH: 31.
    B/W: good. SA: good.
    November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
    January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis. 
    3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3

    BFP 8/16/2013 // EDD 4/28/2014

    Jordan Samuel born April 19, 2014. 6 lb, 12 oz and 18 inches long.

    Thank you! It has been forever since you've been around probably.. 5 months lol.

    I can't speak for the kindle fire but I can for the ipad.

    I have an ipad and love it.  It does have great apps and my kids, 5 and 2, both love playing the million games that they have downloaded onto it.  Only the free ones of course!  My mom and brother in law both have an ipad too and they both love theirs as well.  My mom uses it everyday she says and my dad says she is always on "that thing". 

    Get the one with wifi and 3g so you can use it anywhere.  i log onto wifi at home and my parents and sister in laws, etc and for $10 a month I share the data on my iphone.  so, im not paying a lot for the data on it.

    I can't answer your questions (I'm probably going to get a nook tablet eventually), but I remember you and hi! Your baby is adorable!

    I love my iPad and use it constantly.  But I also love the price on the Kindle Fire.  Hard decision!  I have an iPad2, btw.  If you want to save $100 get the 2 version.  It's great and I've spent time with the 3 version in the store and really don't notice *that* much of a difference.

    I love my kindle fire. I'm an avid reader and that's why i picked the fire over the ipad( and the price difference).
