We have decided on Jude as our son's first name. I think it would sound better as a middle name but that's what we will call him so it doesn't really make sense to do that. Any suggestions for a MN? siblings are Luke Charles (Charles is DH's MN) and Emilia (like "Amelia" but starts like "Emily") Allison (Allison is my mom's MN). it would be nice to use a family name but my dad's name is Gregory Dean and I don't really like Gregory and Dean sounds weird obviously (which is unfortunate b/c its a 3 generation name). FIL's name is Michael. I could live with Jude Michael but don't love it and kind of afraid it would hurt my dad's feelings. TIA!
Re: middle name for Jude?
Jude Matthew
Jude Alexander
Jude Thomas
Jude Archer
Jude William
Jude Samuel
Benjamin? Prescott? (I have NO idea why this one popped into my head, but I like it. "Jude Prescott" Goes well with BB's name.)
If you're worried about dad's feelings and don't mind making Jude a mn and calling him that anyway, I like "Gregory Jude."
Our son's mn will be Jude, so I really like that!
I like Jude Michael.
Other options:
Jude William
Jude Andrew
Jude Robert
Jude Richard
Jude Thomas
Jude Theodore
Jude Patrick
Jude Anthony

Michael was my first thought, but sounds like it wouldn't work
Is there another name like Dean that you could use?
Or another thought, what about Judah Dean with the NN Jude?
This. I like Jude Gregory.
People make a big deal about middle names having to "flow", but really they don't. Rarely do you use someone's full name. The common circumstances are when they are in trouble - and really who is paying attention to flow then. And special occasions like graduation and a wedding. But in all of those circumstances, full names are clearly enunciated so flow is not even an issue.
Case in point - my brother-in-law is Scotty Gregory Clancey (He goes by Scott) This name does not flow at all. But yell it or say it clearly like at a graduation and it sounds just fine.
