I really want to get AF. I don't want to be on BCPs for personal reasons, and it'll be so much easier to chart once I'm getting my period again. I can't be the only one, can I?
I never thought of it as wanting AF but I certainly would like to know where I stand in my cycle.
We usually NFP for religious reasons but I didn't read enough about LAM until it was too late and now it's either abstain, go totally blind, or use some kind of artificial contraception. We're using condoms and withdrawal because I find those to be less in conflict with my views- but I still wish we could rely on NFP again.
So, there is at least one person here who doesn't think you're totally bananas!
I read a lot about lam, but since dd STTN (and has since about 6 weeks), I fall outside the guidelines even though I EBF. So now I'm in some weird limbo. Weird to think that it's been more than a year since AF graced me with her presence (discounting the lochia, of course).
you are NOT the only one!! although AF has already graced me with her presence, i couldnt wait to start! 1 because i wanted to start getting a regular cycle so i knew where i stood compared to my old cycle and 2 because we do not want kids for a very long while, so i wanted to get on some sort of contraception asap!!! we have been using condoms since cause i am still not regular and its really making me think of getting on BCP or the IUD or the patch, but i am still trying to decide which one!!!
