Question re: Mucus Plug

So, I'm 39 weeks. Went in to see my Nurse Practitioner; she did an internal check-up. I'm 3cm, 60% effaced, baby is in a good position, etc.

During my first internal check, I bled. No biggie, they said it was normal. Same thing with this time; no biggie, it's normal.

Difference: during the first internal exam, she dislodged the mucus plug. I know this because she told me. Again, she said no biggie, it's normal, it'll replace itself.

Now, this time, a few hours after the exam, I'm pretty sure I lost my mucus plug again. But, since it wasn't immediately during the exam, I'm wondering if it's the real deal or if it's because of the probing.

Anyone have any experience with this?
