Rock N Play arrived today...and already it's no good :(

I tried to put her in it to rock her to sleep for a nap and she screamed as usual...I rocked her myself ( out of the seat) and she was asleep)...then i tried to put her in again as she was pretty much asleep...and she woke up and screamed again,,,so frustrated..she wont nap anywhere but on me or in a carrier...guess it is going back..will try again for another few days though

any advice/tips...they are greatly appreciated,,,thanks!!

    Do you swaddle for naps? I've found that can help. 

    Right now LO spends his nights in the RnP but doesn't really nap there. Right now he naps in his swing, carseat or the PnP.

    Definitely try swaddling the first day our LO didn't like it but now he does.  The only other thing is sometimes it's a bit cool to their bodies so if he's already sleep when I put him in I place a folded blanket under him.

    My daughter actually doesn't want to be rocked in the RNP.  She sleeps and naps in it just fine--sometimes loosely swaddled, sometimes tightly swaddled, and sometimes completely free and loose. :) GL!

    Try putting her down awake first, after a certain amount of awake time, and swaddled!

    Swaddling... it's my sanity to keeper. The combo of the RnP and swaddling is golden. When he isn't swaddled he throws a fit even though he used to love his RnP without being swaddled.

    DS doesnt nap in it, just sleeps there at night. I hold him until he's completely asleep before I put him down. We do not swaddle. I swaddled DS1 until he was 5 months old. DS2 didn't really like it and honestly breaking them of the swaddle is such a pain! So we decided to let him get used to sleeping "free" from the start. GL
