Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

My insurance company hasn't made one payment for my short disbaility claim ... (vent)

and they are already sending me a notice that I have to submit supporting information if I'm not going back tomorrow. (I received this today)

I hate insurance companies.  My doctor wrote "1-2 months recovery period" on my short term disability forms when I submitted them.  Of course they have to take the lowest possible date (actually before that because one month would be June 4, not tomorrow!) to calculate the return day.

I am still bleeding and my doctor has told me not to go back until I stop bleeding "anything pink".  I notified my plan administrator that I have a follow-up appointment on June 6th.  Then today, I get this.

Ugh, I loathe insurance companies. As if all you've been through wasn't enough, this just isn't fair you have to deal with those jerks too. I hope the insurance company gets their sh*t together and gives you the time you need. (((Hugs)))

The irony of it is that I will probably be going back in the next week or so anyway.  I'm bored not working, but I have to stop bleeding first.

I just really p!ssed me off that they basically said that they only approved until today which is not even the minimum as written by my doctor.

I have paid my insurance through the company group plan for 5 years and watched co-workers milk the plan for all that it's worth for "back issues", when I've seen them out shopping carrying their kids with on disability.  I haven't even gotten to the follow-up appointment and they are basically implying that I need to go back now.

    Ugh!

I am sorry for your loss.

That is total BS.  I am so sorry for the extra stress this may add to your plate right now.  I also was dicked around by STD.  I have to appeal (I haven't done it yet b/c I have 180 days & I just haven't wanted to deal with it) but my Dr was appalled that they felt a week was too long for me to take off.
