I have heard at this age they should be up for maximum of 75 minutes at a time, that includes the time to eat.

My LO has a longer awake time most mornings, up to 2 hours, but after that she'll stay away maybe 30 minutes after eating and sometimes falls right asleep.

  • Considering your baby was early, I don't think normal rules apply.  30 minutes seems good - I'd work on keeping her awake, but I wouldn't fight it too hard.
  • At 3 weeks, I would say 45-50 minutes max, including eating and the time it takes to fall back asleep. Don't force her to be awake!!!!

(Here's a post I wrote that has awake time guidelines; https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/47755634.aspx)
