sitting at the top of my stairs and listening to my husband read DS a story
watching DS's eyes get heavy and fall asleep
seeing how DS is learning how to grab things and the delight he has when he is successful
the amazing cooo he makes when he sneezes (like it was the best feeling in the world!)
watching my parents find the balance of being grandparents
hanging with friends who have kids and loving the amazing parents they are becoming
What are your favorite things?
Re: a few of my favorite things
reading this made me cry!!!
when i pick up honeyB in the AM and she gives me a huge smile and "hugs" me.
how excited she gets when she sees something she wants, and grabs hold of it.
listening to her daddy make her laugh
ditto to the parents becoming grandparents and how proud they are of her
seeing how the kids love her up and are so excited to spend time with her
bathtime!!!!
I love it when Natalie wakes up in the morning with the biggest smile in the world--like each day is the best thing that happens to her!
whenever she starts to fall asleep.
when she laughs and giggles at me when we play.
when Nat is done eating and she's still awake, I pick her up and she has this milk-daze look on her face. Then she gives me a huge smile to let me know how happy she is.
This post is so cute
Charlie goes from 0-60 very quickly when he gets hungry, and I love how fast his little mouth gets moving once he gets the bottle in his mouth.. as if he hasn't eaten for years!
I also love..
-when he does a big exaggerated yawn
- when he is falling asleep and snuggles in real close and pulls his blankie up to his face
-when he is exploring his voice and his range and gets so loud he startles himself
- the way he attacks a toy when he get it in his mouth, chomping away with such serious determination.
This is great!
I love watching him watch his Winnie the Pooh mobile. He skips Piglet every time! I guess he doesn't like pink.
I love how he gets silly eating sometimes. He will attack my boob, then pull back smile and laugh at me and attack again!
He likes to make a game of clicking his tongue or spitting his tongue. He and DH will do it back and forth to each other.
i love seeing my niece and nephew with him. They just adore him! And ditto the grandparents.
I also love dressing him. He has some of the cutest outfits!
When I unswaddle her and her arms shoot up like "yay!!"
The face she makes when she stretches when she just wakes up. Her head tilts back, cheeks puff out, lips picked out and eyebrows go way up
How easily my dad melts when he holds her.
Same with FIL, but add in that he talks in mother ease. Nothing funnier than a big burly man talking in a high pitched voice!
How happy she is every morning.
The smile I get from her when I pick her up from the babysitter.
When she's up in the muddle of the night my dog runs back and forth until I get to her like "mom! Mom sissy's up!"
The conversations we have, and the way she's grabbing at toys now (and taking them straight to her mouth)
This is adorable! I have to second a lot of PPs comments, because DD does them too and I just love them. In addition...
I love watching and listening to her entertaining herself after she's woken up over the monitor....or tooting - its hilarious....
I love when I pick her up and she snuggles in really close, relaxing with her head against my chest, as if she feels like she's in the safest place in the world.
I love when she finishes nursing and falls asleep soothing herself on me.
I love that despite having a bad day sometimes, she is overall a happy baby and that is important to me.
I love getting her dressed in the mornings, I usually sing to her while I do it and she is so happy..biggest smile ever
I love when I pick her up while she is sleeping and her little legs stay crunched up, then she snuggles in real close
I love watching other people love her, especially my nephews, who tell me they are going to beat up boys for her (their dad told them this and they are very excited about it)
Watching her and DH play
Watching the way DD stretches in her sleep when you lay her flat after being curled up.
Watching our dog stand guard over "his" baby. He's been having trouble getting around lately and last night made the effort to lay beside her crib when we went to bed.
Hearing DD babbling away in the backseat as we're driving somewhere.
how she gets cross eyed with concentration looking at a toy
how she's learning to love books and everyone, even 4 and 6 year olds who come and visit want to read to her (seriously, that one just about made me cry. The 6 year old was just learning how to read and after she figured out the story she embellished it for her and the 4 year old just made it up to match the pictures)
that she thinks I am the most beautiful and most interesting thing in the world and must tell me about it with coos and gurgles
that she just beams whenever we play wheels on the bus.
I love his smile after waking up, its like I am rested and so happy to see you!
I love seeing my FIL with him. I was used to a very serious man for 10 years. It's adorable. I also love my dad with him(but I knew dad's soft side)
The way LO gets so excited to look at new things.
I love to hear him babble, especially when he talks with me.
LO loves to "stand" and it's the cutest thing ever.
I really enjoy seeing DH with our son. He is just so proud and happy and LO can't stop looking and smiling at him. DH went out of town this week and will be out for a month. Seeing how much he wanted to hold him all weekend was adorable.
-Watching dd2 'talk' to dd1. She gets so excited and just babbles and laughs with her
- dd2 watching dd1 - she will just stare at her for hours!
- waking her up in the morning - love the huge smiles I get
- Rocking her to sleep. I love that she just stares up at me and watches me until her eyes start to close.
I could go on and on!
