Which Newborn Books Did You Like?

Hi girls! I am looking for a good book (or books!) to read on newborn milestones, behaviors, etc. My husband keeps asking me things like "how far can he see?" and "when should we start tummy time?" and I honestly have no clue!!

 

i feel like I did so much reading/research on pregnancy, breast feeding,etc... Now I need to read up on actuallyHAVING this kiddo!!

I really like "Caring for your infant and young child" that the hospital gave us. I did not like "what to expect the first year" even though I liked the pregnancy one.. I don't know why.. just something about the tone of the book drives me nuts..

I have "What to Expect the First Year" and it's awful in my opinion.  I don't have a suggestion on a good book, but I wouldn't spend the money on this one!

I enjoyed Heading Home with Your Newborn: From Birth to Reality and the AAP'S book, Your Baby's First Year (they also have one that goes up to 5 years in which the first year section is the same). I know a lot of people like Dr. Sears' The Baby Book, but I really didn't want a book with a parenting philosophy like attachment parenting - I just wanted information about babies!

This exactly. Great info, but the book is full of attachment parenting opinions. I do reference it quite a bit though.
