LO humped my brother's GF

We've seen him do this before to pillows, stuffed animals, or just on the floor, usually when he is tried.  But he loved my brother's GF after only meeting her last night, and keep crawling up on her and would start humping her! Every time he did it I would pick him up and put him on the floor, and he'd crawl back to her and do it again...lol. It was especially weird since he is usually so afraid of people he doesn't know.

Is anyone else's LO doing something like this? I don't want to discourage self exploration or whatever it is, but humping other people is not okay!

Oh gosh, to be honest I have to advice and this post makes me uncomfortable in general.  Just the idea that a LO at our babies ages are doing this is so not something I would have considered.  No advice just sort of shocked it starts this young.  Maybe other mom's have dealt with this and can give you some advice.

Oh the fun of boys! I remember two distinct similar stories, though nothing at such a young age or including other people. One little boy I knew, around 2 years old maybe, used to kind of hump the mattress while falling asleep. And a friend told a story of how her little boy, around age 3, actually had an erection in the bath and asked his mom about it. So they become aware surprisingly early but I have no idea how to handle a situation like that. I guess you have to just start teaching him that's a no-no? I think that's one I'd go to my pedi about since I wouldn't know what else to do. I can't imagine how embarrassing that must be for you and her though! I hope you figure something out!

I have no advice, I'm sorry!  I just can't stop giggling!  I think if that were N I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from cracking up.  Mom of the year right here.

DH and I had a good laugh the other times we've seen him do this (once was on DH's head lol) But I always kind of thought he was trying to move his diaper around or something like that.

Alex loves being bounced on someone's leg.   He'll straddle your calf and start humping it until you start bouncing him.   I had to warn my friend the other night when he straddled her leg.   She almost fell over laughing and couldn't believe I said he likes to hump your leg until you bounce him.

My niece went through a (long) humping phase- not sure when it started but she was about 2 when she was at my house and kept humping my poor cat!

No advice- not sure if it's normal or just common...
