I was at my parents cabin all weekend and Adelyn was so perfect almost to0 good to be true, she barely cried fed about every three hours and at night ate and went right back to sleep, prior to this she usually acts the same sometimes with long awake periods in the morning but was having gas, she would turn red to poop and her stomach was always hard and had hard times pooping i suspected from the forumla so while at the cabin i switched from similac advance formula to enfamil gentelease.. I also am pumping and feed her breast milk too with every other feeding due to supply and/or mix
we get home - day 3 of the new formula and she is a different baby - totally fussy she isn't turning red to poop nor has a hard stomach but was hard to get to bed last night and then was up from 5am onward only sleeping for short periods throughout the day - i find she is now harder to burp since switching and it's taking me awhile to get through the whole bottle due to fussiness then fussies to get back to sleep? still pooping and peeing lots - she seems hot could just be me? stools seem thicker also - yellow and not as watery - overall just fussy could this be an adjustment to new formula
does anyone know if you make a jug of powder formula and put in fridge - what time frame do you have for consumption?
Re: what's wrong LO? change of behavior
I just switched my LO a few days ago too and now that I think about it, he has been a little fussier, and he has also had a thicker, more yellowish stool.
Im starting to think it is from the formula change.
Both my DD and DS have gone through an adjustment period when switching formulas. My pedi said it can take up to a week for their systems to adjust to the new formula.
I make 20 oz. of formula for each of my babies (they are on different kinds) and refrigerate it. If refrigerated it can be used for 24 hours.
