And now Weigh.t W.atchers...

For anyone who has used it, did you really really like?

Is there still the WW check-in?

I started today.  I'm going to stick it out for a month but if I keep gaining weight at the rate I'm at I'll have to head to the doctor because this is really not normal.  I just gave away all my pants and I'm already out-growing my replacement pants.

  • I haven't tried it but my MIL swears buy it.  When she sticks to it she always does very well.  She recently lost 30#'s.

  • I liked the old system better than the new one but either way it does work.  PIA but it works. Good for you.  I should have done something before because now I'm fat and KU.  Not complaining but just saying...
  • I gained the entire time I cycled. In not even sure why. I really tried to maintain my weight too. I started out thin (well I'm 6ft tall), so not skinny. And ended at the thick end of normal.

I personally love Jenny Craig and will run back there after I have this baby.

  • I rejoined the end of April and like it. It does take work and preparation of food in advance is key for me. I feel like you have to use low carb stuff or you will run out of points. But it does work if you follow it. I lost 6.6 lbs the first month and wasn't super strict (ie had cocktails etc.)

  • I'm a WW'er :).  I really like it!!! I stared WW's in 2002, between 2002-2004 I lost 110lbs!

With IF, i've managed to keep about 95 of the 110lbs off.

I do like the plan, I really liked the 'old points plan', but the new plan does work.  In 2010, I used the points plus and lost the extra 15lbs I gained back. But..that extra 15lbs is now back..again :(.

I like the new plan with the *all you can eat fresh fruit*, but the higher points value are hard to get used to (IMO).  My favorite subway sandwich is now 10pts for a 6 inch! Bread has higher points as well as most processed foods.

I like the weekly meetings, they make me accountable!! But, right now I only do the online program.  Depending on the outcome of this IVF cycle, I'd like to start attending meetings again.  If you have an IPhone, android style phone I highly recommend the WW's app!!! I love looking up restaurants on the go!

    Best of luck!!!!!

  • Thanks everyone!  Lucky me, I gained one more pound today, so I am up to a goal of 17 pounds to lose.  It isn't huge, but I feel like it's going to be annoying...especially with all the summer parties ahead!  Thanks for the success stories ladies!

V, I just did some Jenny Craig research and I'm so impressed!  I thought you had to eat their food...it looks like a great program.

I have done WW, and Jenny.  I loved jenny...even their food.  They offer heavy discounts, so it ends up cheaper than me buying food anyway.

I still ate out, and had cocktails, never ate their food every meal.  I really loved that program.  I actually lost more weight than i wanted, and they had to lower my goal weight!  I found it that easy to follow.  I am RUNNING back after this baby is here, in fact i kept my membership current for that exact reason!

i was always curious about Jenny, but always assumed it was too pricey, what are the program prices like V?  because i need something for afterwards too!

  • I did WW to lose the baby and IF weight.  Man, the IF weight was cruel.

I lost 20 pounds in a few months.  I like all of the online tools and apps.  I like the meetings because it held me accountable and it helped give me tips and ideas for real life.  I am back to my pre-wedding weight which was my goal during my break in between cycling.

Skinny Taste has lots of good recipes.  I like that WW lets you have all pretty much all the fruits and veggies you want.  And it is more real life manageable - like being able to go to a restaurant and figuring out how to order.

. I can't remember the initial sign up, but u can usually get a deal on that.  I only pay $40 a yr.  I was getting all of my food for about 70$ a wk, which is way cheaper than feeding myself w NYC prices.  Also, the food is pretty tasty!
