Side effects after finishing Clomid

I took my  first cycle of clomid, and am now on day 12 of my cycle.  I woke up today with terrible vertigo.  It has subsided mostly since this morning but I still feel it.  I know of the side effects while on clomid can be this, but do you think the side effects could still occur days after finishing?  The only side effects I had while on clomid was emotional ups and downs and hot flashing. Those stopped the day after I finished my clomid.

    My side effects are always after I'm done taking the pills. I haven't had vertigo but the hot flashes are annoying.

    Some of my s/e lasted a fair bit after stopping, though they did start to taper off...clomid sticks around in your system for a while. Also, it tends to increase your overall hormone levels if it makes more follicles, so that could be contributing. If it is getting better, I would not worry, but you could always call tomorrow to put your mind at ease.

    i would have slight dizziness nearing ovulation, but only momentary.  if it's really lasting awhile i would DEF. call your dr.

    All of my side effects from Clomid were the week after I took the pills, so for me dizziness and hot flashes were normal the 7 days after I took the pills.

    I thought I was the only one that had this happen! When I had my last IUI in Jan, I finished my last pill of clomid on a Saturday and on the following Monday, I became so dizzy and lightheaded. I went to my dr the next day and she didn't really know what was wrong and said I probably had an inner ear infection. It lasted 2 months, but started feeling a little better after a couple of weeks. My dr said it probably wasnt from clomid but I would bet a lot of money that it was from clomid. I haven't taken it since. I hope your dizziness goes away soon.

    Most of my side effects with Clomid came when I was done taking them.

    I'm just getting ready to start my first round of Clomid so I don't know anything specific about it but you can definitely get side effects after medication-many stay in your system for a while and I'm sure that a strong antibiobitc gave me vertigo. You may want to look up the less common side effects to put your mind at ease. They only list the  most common ones on the pharmacy printouts. Hope you feel better soon!!  My vertigo started getting better after a few days but stuck around in small doses for a couple years.  

    TTC since 1/11. "Unexplained" IF. 6/12 - 50mg Clomid + TI = BFN. 7/12 and 8/12 - 50mg Clomid + IUI = BFN. Taking a break and planning for a final IUI before the end of the year, but back to considering adoption. Repeat AMH of 0.67, ouch. 3rd try 10/12 - 100mg Clomid and back-to-back IUIs = BFP!

    My s/e stuck around for awhile after I was finished my doses of Clomid. Hot flashes, some vision issues, MAJOR anxiety. Ugh - terrible. Hope you feel better soon!

    i didn't get side effects from the Clomid until day 5.  I had hot flashes.  That lasted 2-3 days then subsided.

    Hopefully they are short term for you.

    4/12: HSG All Clear
    5-1-12: DX of PCOS
    5-4-12: DH S/A all normal.
    5-16-12: Offically start IUI#1-->Clomid(50mg) + Trigger + IUI + progesterone supplements=BFN
    IUI #2-same treatment-->BFN
    July IUI#3-same treatment--->BFN
    Aug 22, 2012-Laparoscopy Found/Removed extensive endometreosis.
    September 2012-IUI #4-Same treatment as before. BFN
    October 2012-forced break/Surgery to remove abnormal cells in left breast.
    November 2012-First Injects Cycle (IUI #5)! 225IU Follistim CD 3-5, then monitoring appointment. 20+ follier & e2 >2000-Mild OHSS
    December 2012-#2 Injects + IUI#6): Beta 1/18/13-BFN!
    Jan 2013-Starting IVF!!! BC starts Jan 17/Lupron on Feb 13/Stims on Feb 18/ER on March 1 IVF Protocol: Lupron 10 units in am until stimms. Then 5 units of Lurpon in am, 150iu of Follistim and 1 unit of Menopur in pm. Holding dosage throughtout since response has been great. Thought we would be freeze all due to OHSS, but ended up getting more follicles then expected! 14 total!!! 12 mature and 11 fertilized. Dr calls for a 5 day transfer!! :) Will freeze remaining.
