baby acne or...

Hello all! Looking for someone with experience on baby acne. DD has these little bumps all over her face. It started with one or two on her cheeks and now she has multiple bumps on her cheeks, forehead, and scalp. The bumps aren't anywhere but her face so I don't think it is an allergic reaction, there is no accompanying rash either. 

We stopped putting J&J on her face and tried Aveeno, that didn't help. I wipe her face down with a wet rag twice a day. She has a flaky scalp so I thought maybe eczema if not acne. Any advice on what to do next?

DD had that a few weeks ago. It spread to her back and shoulders. I took her to the pedi and they said its a combination of baby acne and eczema. They said to just use a gentle lotion like Cetaphil. That's it. Its gone now.

My son had the same thing. I started using the baby aquaphor on his face, neck and chest and it is clearing up now. I also bought the bodywash and shampoo aquaphor for bath time since LO was allergic to J&J. For the flaky scalp I got the cradle cap lotion from little remedies and it is working great!!

Yep. My LO had flaky skin and acne for at least the first four weeks. Now the flaky skin is gone, but every now and then a little bit of the acne comes back. I use the infant Mustela products and love them. I asked my pediatrician about the acne and flakes, and she said it was the my hormones in his body that were coming out...(not sure I am explaining this correctly).

My son had that a few weeks ago too. I think its pretty common. We used the store brand of cetaphil and put aquafor for moisturizer and it also cleared up...i think its baby acne and it will pass soon!
