I bet you thought I was talking about my LO! Nope!! I am staying with my parents before I and our DD join my husband at our new duty station overseas. My parents have three dogs that constantly bark. They won't put them in a room just for a few hours a day so DD can take a nap... so come night-time she is a cranky over-tired mess ! I'm seriously considering a hotel. They just constantly... shush and "be quiet" doggy... blah blah blah. Which, of course, the dogs don't speak english so they don't shut the hell up.
Just in writing this email my sister,, who is a grown adult, has come in and out of her room twice slamming the doors... which then sets off the dogs who went into a barking tirade thee times.
DD is a great sleeper and can sleep through anything... unless of course when someone is going in and out of a room constantly slamming the doors, or someone decides that now is a good time to clang around a bunch of dishes while loading and unloading the dishwasher! I am seriously about to lose my F'ing mind.
I have talked to them over and over again during the day about the doors and the dogs and being aware/considerate, but to no avail. The only thing that gets me through it is that my flight is in two weeks. Thank heavens. Rant over.
Thank you for listening and have a wonderful memorial day! Thank a troop or vet today !

Sounds like it is time to take DD for a very long walk so she can sleep! If I were you, I would start just getting her out of the house for her naps. Go for walks, volunteer to go to the grocery store, go to the library, just so your DD can get some rest.
I also like the idea of setting of the dogs and slamming doors at night, but it would probably backfire...
I have totally thought of this!!! I know its awful but sometimes people need a taste of their own medicine!
I'd do it. I always threatened my family with whoever wakes her has to deal with the aftermath
Haha! I agree! No, you are not immature, you're a sleep deprived Mom who needs some common courtesy! If people can't understand that then they need a "wake up call" of their own!
