Just look up youtube videos of crash test dummies in RF Vs FF. 

My husband is completely sold now. To be honest, I wasn't quite sold, but now I totally am.

    My husband was pretty convinced when I explained the whole "internal decapitation" aspect to him.  I honestly, truly, really don't understand why people want their children FF before they are ready.  Convenience is just not an excuse.

    It has never been an issue in our household.  We have always said we would keep DS rear-facing until he couldn't fit that way anymore.  It's such a scary thing to think about, and the video makes it much more concrete. Thank you for posting this!

    Luckily, I didn't have to convince DH that DD needs to be rear-facing.  Maryland law requires children to be rear-facing until at least age 2 unless they out-grow the rear-facing limits of their carseat before then.  And I will be looking for the convertible seats with the highest weight/length I can find that will fit in our vehicles.

    Our family and friends think that we are crazy cakes for keeping or 3.5 year old still RFing but she's pretty tiny and still only 29 lbs. I think she will hit the height limit before the weight. She is perfectly content with it though and doesn't know otherwise.
