I posted this a while ago and it's gone so i guess I will repost. I'm just wondering where did people find childbirth and other pregnancy ed classes? Are they just at the hospitals? I'm in NoVA.
They are hold classes at my dr's office, after hours.
Look on the Physicians and Midwives website (Kenmore location) for more info. They are also relatively cheap (less than $200 for 6 week class that covers EVERYTHING).
what kind of class are you looking for? i teach HypnoBirthing in Alexandria at Vital Body and Mind Therapies and i'm starting a new class on Wednesday! it meets for 5 weeks on WEdnesdays from 6-9pm (skipping the week of july 4th).
email me for more information: Lindsey AT SunflowersHealingandWellness DOT com

My practice delivers at Inova FX so those classes sound good. I also like that it doesn't seem to be method specific--less of a bias I'm thinking. I am a FTM as well so I feel like I need to know everything. Also I'm a planner so this is all just new to me.
Re: childbirthing classes
Are they method specific or just baby birthing/care in general?
Thanks for the help!
