At one week ds received 2 oz of bm. But formula and bm are different in terms of how much they should get. So you need to ask your pedi if you are supplementing.
I gave DD 2oz of BM and formula when she came home. It wasn't until about a week later that I noticed the formula was keeping her satisfied longer and I started making adjustments.
I was doing 2 oz. of formula every 1.5 to 2 hours depending on when they got hungry. My pedi said you can't overfeed a newborn...they will stop eating when they are full. He also recommended when they start to consistently finish the amount you are offering to increase by 1/2 oz. They may not take it but they have the option if they are still hungry.
