Burping, puke & 4am...

DD is 7.5wks old & has reflux. At home she sleeps in a rnp only getting up 1x per night which is great. When we travel to see family (often), due to room restraints, we cant take the rnp with us & both parents have a pnp. Whenever she wakes up to eat I change her diaper before nursing. I make sure to get her before she's frantic &crying to reduce the risk of her taking in extra air.  When I try to burp her after my initial let down, she freaks out & wails due to hunger & therefore takes in more air. So if I put her back on, she pukes & despite having burp cloths & blankets to help catch it, it still goes everywhere. but if I don't put her on & try to get the burp I know she needs, she's crying so hard she can't burp. 

  I elevate the mattress as much as possible but she moves a ton in her sleep but not rollong over so it makes  me nervous to elevate it more and risk her rolling due to the mattress height. And to make it just a bit worse., she broke out of the swaddle me the other night. 

What do I do? Get a rnp for both house? Sleep with her on my chest (don't really want to do this though). Not sleep all night? Advice & suggestions please...?

    I'm sorry you are going through this. I'm a bit confused as to whether your issues are during feeding or sleeping. In any case, Walmart and target both carry RnP for $45 and there is a $7 coupon on coupons.com right now (I think you can print 2). You might also want to check consignment stores for a used one. I'm sure you know that they are easily washable. GL!

    We have the Snugabunny Rock n Play at our apartment.  And this weekend, we put our daughter in the Snugabunny Bouncer at the inlaws.  I like the lullaby and natural sound feature on the bouncer, but I have not used the vibrating feature since my daughter spits up.  I know that Target has a special for Snugabunny Rock n Play for $49 this week.

    when you pull lo off to burp try giving her a paci to suck on. DS fusses and wiggles all around if he doesn't have it while we burp him.
