Solid wood crib?

Hi everyone!

I admit, I have expensive tastes, but I'm also good at reeling them in. I am crib shopping, and I really like the "high end" options at stores like Pottery Barn Kids, etc., but I'm more than willing to look elsewhere. We plan to have more children, so I want a solid crib which will last, and really want it to be made of solid real wood. That is the main appeal of a crib from somewhere like PBK. 

Any recommendations for where I can buy something similar without paying for the Pottery Barn brand?

We have Capretti and love it. There is a post a few down from this one discussing the brand. Solid wood, no pinch drawers, great warranty, etc.

We went to a furniture store and bought the floor model of one they were trying to get rid of. It was in perfect shape. They even threw it in for free since we were actually there to buy ourselves a bedroom set!

I just bought a Capretti set in the style called Toscana. They have a website where you can see all their models and see where they are sold. I got mine at a store in Los Angeles. I was like you - I wanted high-end, solid wood, heavy, durable, and not cheapo Babies r Us Kind. I am very happy with our choice! Plus we bought the floor model and got 30% off!

We bought a Sorelle crib from BBB that's solid wood.  It wasn't bad.  Less than $400 (including toddler rail) after 20% off coupon.  It's really solid.  I can't shake it at all.  Haven't had a baby in it yet, but it seems like a pretty decent quality piece.

I bought in store. We were just browsing (I'm only 13 weeks!) and then I fell in love with the Capretti set but it was pricey. We had no intention of purchasing anything when we went in, but then the owner of the store said they were selling the floor model for 30% off, so we got the crib that converts to toddler bed and then full bed, wide dresser with hutch, and nightstand. I can't wait for it to be delivered!!! It's gorgeous and will last forever! This will be this kid's bedroom set until they go to college!

We bought our Capretti online but I emailed mybabymodern.com to ask about their bonus deals and the owner called me and we talked about the brand, warranty, and reward program. They only list one style online but will get anything Capretti sells.

I have a solid wood crib from Land of Nod and I love it!  They aren't less than PBK, but I love the simplicity of LON styles and their cribs are made in the USA.  Every now and then LON offers a discount on furniture, but it isn't frequent.
